
LTTS, BITS & CRENS Collaborate on AI-Powered National Security Solutions

A global engineering and technology solutions company, L&T Technology Services Limited (LTTS), together with the Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS) Pilani and the Center for Research and Excellence in National Security (CRENS), has agreed to enhance research, come up with innovative ideas and skill-build in the field of national security. Ramakrishna JVS of LTTS Global and Prof. Soumyo Mukherji of BITS Pilani Hyderabad have agreed in Hyderabad that together they will strengthen India’s national security using advanced technologies.
Hosted by BITS Pilani Hyderabad, CRENS will bring together law enforcement, experts from industries and researchers to make progress in cybersecurity, perimeter security, digital investigations and technologies like AI and quantum systems. Through the advice of veterans and top officials in the DRDO, the partnership is able to apply knowledge in practical realms. The company has developed expertise through establishing more than 25 command centers for smart cities, over 100 engineering labs and introducing AI-based solutions, including LTTS Fusion which handles both public safety and cybersecurity.

Their collaboration focuses on several fields, including research and development for public safety, cybersecurity and digital forensics, as well as by providing specialized training and certifications and by mentoring startups throughout the process of launching their innovations. This will help these agencies by offering policy advice and training, making use of shared systems and research laboratories to strengthen their skills.

By hosting conferences, boot camps and using mentoring, the ecosystem will ensure India leads in the use of security technology as challenges grow.
